About Jill: My journey to this work began many years ago when I began working with "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron. This book/process helped me to dis-cover my buried dreams and passions and to find the courage to begin integrating creation into my daily life.
The next step occurred while I was attending a Yoga and Painting retreat at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Lenox, MA. I had the opportunity to experience Kripalu DansKinetics?. The spark was lit. I had found my passion. In 2002 I travelled to Sedona, AZ where I completed my Yoga Meets Dancetm teacher certification and I have been following my bliss ever since.
When I was attending the dance training in Sedona I had the opportunity to experience a Shamanic Sound Journey facilitated by John Dumas. This experience had a profound effect on me and in the summer of 2004, I was able to study Didjeridu Playing and Healing with Shine Edgar and Zachary Sukuweh at Hollyhock on Cortes Island, BC.
In 2003, I began my yoga teacher certification at Esther Myers Studio in Toronto and I am currently teaching in Fergus and Guelph.
About Rasayana: I feel that living passionately is a path to connecting with Divinity. All of the work/play that I do is my way of living and sharing what I find 'juicy'. When I discovered that the Ayurvedic (ancient system of Indian medicine) term for rejuvenation is Rasayana, the literal translation meaning "progressing towards juiciness", I knew I had found the term that encompasses what I do. Connecting with Creation through creativity, music, dance, yoga and stillness has been a gift in my life and it is my joy to share it with you.
